This month, AnglicareSA will kickstart an exciting new development, which will increase social and affordable housing in Adelaide’s west.
In partnership with the State Government, AnglicareSA’s Woodville West development will see the construction of six villas and 24 apartments.
The 30 new homes will provide crucial housing options for older South Australians, young people leaving care and those living with a disability.
AnglicareSA’s Executive General Manager Housing, Michelle Gegenhuber, said it was an important investment for the state.
“There is no doubt that access to appropriate, safe and secure housing options is a crucial issue facing many South Australians,” she said.
“We stand ready to partner with State Government to address this need and, ultimately, create better outcomes for our community. We are pleased to work with them on this important project.
“The construction of 30 new homes in Woodville West is another step towards providing much-needed social and affordable housing to those in need.
“Once these properties are developed, AnglicareSA will work with individuals and families to support them to enjoy positive, constructive tenancies and, in turn, create strong, safe and sustainable communities.”
Initial construction will commence this month, with the project scheduled for completion in November 2022. It is expected that residents will move in by the end of 2022.
