“It is only by working together, that we find innovative ways to overcome the social and economic challenges facing South Australians and build a resilient and prosperous community.”
Fundraising is so much more than raising funds. It’s about establishing true partnerships for the greater good.
AnglicareSA seeks to engage, collaborate and innovate with other likeminded individuals, corporates and community groups, to address our community’s most urgent unmet needs.
If you share our vision and aspiration for justice, respect and fullness of life for all, we invite you to contact our Fundraising Team, by filling in the form below, to explore your ideas on how we might work together to affect positive change within our community.
Together, we change lives.
Programs we support
Thread Together
AnglicareSA’s Thread Together program provides brand new, quality clothing to people in need.
Thread Together works in conjunction with clothing manufacturers to receive brand new, end-of-line clothes for distribution through its charity partners. This never-before-worn clothing would otherwise end up in landfill.
Using two vans, which have been fitted as mobile wardrobes, as well as our Thread Together Hub in North Adelaide, AnglicareSA is able to support a range of communities, including those in regional areas.
This service is much more than just clothes. It also provides a sense of dignity and renewed confidence.
Thread Together has assisted many South Australians, including young people on income support, refugee families, those impacted by natural disasters like bushfires, jobseekers, and survivors of domestic violence.
Star Bear
AnglicareSA’s Star Bear program provides grief counselling for children who have lost a significant person in their life, such as a parent or a sibling.
Through free weekend camps, Star Bear connects bereaved children with other children who have similar experiences, helping them to find support and feel connected.
We also help parents to support their children through their grief, as well as connect and share their own experiences with other parents.
Facilitated by trained grief counsellors and supported by a team of amazing volunteers, Star Bear is the only program of its kind in South Australia.
Leaving Care
Across Australia, young people leaving out-of-home care experience significant disadvantage. They are at higher risk of homelessness and medical intervention for mental health and substance abuse, and less likely to complete Year 12 or obtain steady employment.
AnglicareSA’s Post Care Pathways program focusses on supporting young care leavers between the age of 18 and 25 years. With a housing-first approach, it supports young care leavers who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness and housing instability.
Most young people can grow-up gradually, with ongoing family support. This service provides that ongoing support for young care leavers and helps to guide them through the challenges of early adulthood.
Emergency Services
AnglicareSA’s emergency assistance program provides practical emergency relief, including food, clothing, once-off rent assistance, pharmacy vouchers (for necessary medication), blankets and other essentials to South Australians and their families.
Our programs assist people across metropolitan Adelaide and into the regions, including Elizabeth, Adelaide, St Mary’s, Christies Beach, Adelaide West, Wallaroo, Maitland and Whyalla.
Through this program, we also provide financial counselling and referrals to other wrap-around support services, to help those in need create long-term, sustainable change.
Turning Point
Through AnglicareSA’s Turning Point program we support families experiencing homelessness to access stable and appropriate housing.
Focusing on families with children under five-years-old, AnglicareSA provides a home for up to three months, as well as wrap-around support services to help get them back on track.
Rather than being forced into a motel room, with little or no cooking or washing facilities and limited bedding, Turning Point homes allow families to continue their daily life with greater self-sufficiency, security and normality, making it a unique support service in South Australia.
More than 90 per cent of Turning Point families have gone onto secure stable, long-term housing, with some buying their own homes.
How to get involved
AnglicareSA works to create positive change in the lives of those facing crisis. But we cannot do it alone.
Many of our programs support people in their darkest moments and rely on the generosity of our donors, fundraisers and corporate partners.
Without vital donor contribution, programs like Star Bear, Turning Point, Post Care Pathways, Emergency Assistance and Thread Together could not exist.
There are many ways you can help us to support those in need. Whether it is a one-off donation, a fundraising opportunity of your own, or your school or community group, or by joining us as a corporate partner or event sponsor, your support will make a positive difference in the community.
Individuals
If you are an individual wanting to start an independent fundraiser to assist AnglicareSA and our programs, we are here to help you.
It might be running a marathon to raise awareness for homelessness, baking and selling cupcakes at a local community event, hosting a movie night with friends, or simply having a garage sale — every dollar you raise helps us change the lives of those doing it tough.
It can be daunting setting up a fundraiser, but this is something we can help you with. From setting up your donation payment platform, to providing extra resources along the way, we will support you to make your fundraiser that little bit easier.

Corporates & event sponsorship
AnglicareSA’s corporate partners have a positive impact on our South Australian community and are critical to our work.
We cannot address the unmet need in our community alone. Solving complex social challenges requires cross-sector commitment, expertise and innovation.
Together, with our corporate partners, we can address and alleviate hardship in our community. Working together, we can achieve measurable social impact through shared value, capacity building and cause-driven programs.
Schools & community groups
AnglicareSA is a passionate supporter of engaging schools and community groups across South Australia.
Through fundraising and education activities, we work together to change attitudes and change lives.
AnglicareSA works side-by-side with schools, parishes, and community groups to achieve fundraising objectives and goals that support our mutual values.
