What the service offers
The Settlement Services program provides On-Arrival Welcome and Accommodation services to new arrivals who have recently arrived in South Australia.
The program is the sole service provider of welcome and accommodation services to new arrivals under the Federal Government’s Humanitarian Settlement Program (HSP). These services are provided in conjunction with AMES Australia.
Accommodation is also provided for the Status Resolution Support Service which is funded by the Federal Government and supported by Australian Migrant Resource Centre.
Who can access the service
- People are referred to the program by the Australian Government. Self-referrals are not accepted.
Steps on how to access the service
Individuals and families in the Humanitarian Settlement Program are referred by the Department of Social Services. Individuals and families in Status Resolution Support Service are referred by the Department of Immigration and Border Protection.
