A Home Care Package is a combination of Government funds and your own contribution. You control your package to receive the care and support you need to live the life you choose in your home.
What supports can I access?
There are a wide variety of services, equipment and supports available to you. We have the flexibility to provide almost any care service that meets your lifestyle goals. AnglicareSA Home Care Packages offer flexibility and personal choice and some of the options available to you include:
- Personal care services e.g. support with showering
- Domestic assistance e.g. cleaning, grocery shopping and meal preparation
- Social support e.g. social groups and activities
- Nursing care
- Allied health support e.g. physiotherapy and podiatry
- Access to digital technology e.g. computer classes
Or for those once-off or occasional needs:
- Modifications to your home
- Equipment and technology
- A spring clean
- Home maintenance
Your AnglicareSA Home Care Package is tailored to suit your individual care needs. Our team listens to your wishes and interests before providing you with information, advice and support to develop a service plan based on your goals and allocated budget. They will help you meet your own goals for living independently whether by staying active and healthy, keeping up social activities with your friends or exploring new and different opportunities.

You are able to self-manage your AnglicareSA Package if you wish. If your circumstances change, we will be here to step into that coordination role with you.
How do I access a Home Care Package?
Step 1: Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 to arrange an assessment with the Commonwealth Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT).
Step 2: After your assessment, ACAT will inform you of the level of care you are eligible for. Talk to AnglicareSA to find out more about what this means for you and what you will need to contribute towards your package.
There are two types of fees you may be asked to pay: a basic daily fee and an income tested care fee.
Step 3: You will receive a letter from My Aged Care informing you that a package has been assigned to you. Call AnglicareSA to arrange for a Coordinator to meet with you to develop your goals, care plan and budget.
