At Turning Point, the safety and security of women and children escaping family and domestic violence is our priority. The program is based in Adelaide’s northern suburbs, and referrals are accepted from the Department for Child Protection’s Elizabeth office.

AnglicareSA offers the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program, which assists humanitarian entrants and family stream migrants with low English proficiency who have lived in Australia for five years or less. The program provides free and confidential support, including casework, group workshops, information, referrals, and practical assistance to help individuals and families settle into their new community.
What services does AnglicareSA offer to support new arrivals in South Australia?
AnglicareSA offers the Settlement Engagement and Transition Support (SETS) program, which assists humanitarian entrants and family stream migrants with low English proficiency who have lived in Australia for five years or less. The program provides free and confidential support, including casework, group workshops, information, referrals, and practical assistance to help individuals and families settle into their new community.
AnglicareSA provides emergency relief, including food, pharmacy vouchers (for prescribed medication), blankets, and other essentials to South Australian families.
We also have a No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) that provides a no interest loan for the purchase of essential household items, such as whitegoods and furniture. Participants must pay back the loan, but they are not charged interest.
AnglicareSA also has financial counsellors who can advise on managing creditors and debts while building your confidence in managing your money.
