Help support young care leavers via Youth Footprints
Enjoy the hospitality and refinement of Rymill House Estate as you experience South Australia’s most famous motor racing event.
500 Rymill House offers you the choice of first class multi-day, single day and single session packages for you and your guests within an exclusive and private trackside location.
Funds raised from this prestigious event will help provide valuable support to vulnerable young care leavers in South Australia through the generosity of the Rymill House Foundation in partnership with AnglicareSA’s Youth Footprints program.
What Is Youth Footprints?
Youth Footprints is a program that helps young care leavers transition from dependence on state accommodation (and supports) to self sufficiency.
In South Australia, the State Government has no obligation to support young care leavers beyond the age of 18. With interrupted schooling and care arrangements throughout their childhood, many care leavers exit the care system into poverty and experiences of homelessness, crime and substance misuse.
How Does it Work?
Combining a Housing First approach with individualised supports that aim to strengthen a young person’s independent living skills, the program will provide an effective transition model for young care leavers.
Youth Footprints includes mentoring, education, employment opportunities and community connections to help young people successfully transition out of care.
At AnglicareSA we’re passionate about improving the outcomes for young care leavers, and that’s why we’re partnering with the Rymill House Foundation for this important initiative.
